Crispy chicken drumstick Recipe
Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 8 chicken drumsticks, well cleaned
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of white pepper
- 3 teaspoons of meat curry
- 1 teaspoon of Bbq Sauce
- 1 teaspoon of mixed spices
- 1 cup, natural /plain yoghurt
- 1 tablespoon, lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon, liquid mustard
- Bread crumbs, as required
- Vegetable oil to deep fry
Directions
i. In a bowl, mix yoghurt, lemon juice, BbQ sauce and mustard, set aside.
ii. In another bowl, mix salt, mixed spices, white pepper and meat curry and rub this mix well into each drumstick
iii. Place these coated drumsticks in the bowl with the yoghurt mixture, cover and refrigerate for 20 minutes or 2 hours maximum.
iv. Remove drumsticks, one at a time, place in breadcrumbs to coat them it well on all sides, place on a tray. When all are coated, cover and let rest in a refrigerator for atleast 2 hours.
v. Heat oil and on medium heat, deep fry drumsticks until golden brown
vi. Serve as desired.
